BUY IT
I have a medical condition that makes me heat intolerant, so I get overheated really easily. I’ve tried every cooling product out there from ice rings to fans to cooling towels and this is by far the best. It’s large and it stays wet enough to stay cool – other products dry out way too fast and lose cooling function but not this one. I never go without it in the summer. It’s the perfect weight and thickness, too.

Excellent product, better than a fan
This product has worked great for me! By following the instructions (rinse after use and keep in the refrigerator) it is great to help me cool down and stay cool. Sometimes I use it on my wrist, but mostly use it around my neck, front and back. I’ve even wipe my face to cool it down. My head sweats so in addition to cooling me down, it absorbs the sweat. Great product!

Works great but changed to horrible color
These pads work very well. I wet it down and put around my neck to prevent sunburn and it keeps me cool doing yardwork in the blazing heat, and kept me comfortable at an amusement park all day in the sun. The length is good – can put over my head when needed. I deducted one star because I bought 2 of these: a purple and a neon green. See the picture, the purple retained its color but the green one looks like the color of puke now. Should mention that you have to fold it like you want to store it – while it’s wet. When it dries, it’s as stiff as cardboard.

Cooling towls
You can’t get a better cooling system than the evaporative method! What’s great about these towels is that you don’t get wet and you don’t have to wet your towel as often. I have bought 17 of these towels and keep sharing them with friends. My last one just went to Japan to keep my neighbor’s parent cool in the 100 degree heat. This price can’t be beat and Frogg Toggs are a far superior fabric than others that I have tried and threw away. I buy the larger ones and cut them in half lengthwise for a perfect fit and a two for one deal. Try ’em!

Works great
Went to the beach with my nephews when they were about 8 months we live in Texas and the sun is brutal at the beach so I got this to help keep them cool it worked well and they seemed to like it it’s soft durable and easy to travel with we threw it into our cooler after getting it wet a few times to make it cold and it worked great.

Best thing for hot weather I have found.
These things absolutely work. I went to the Ohio State Fair with these and they absolutely take the edge off a hot day. I noticed I was getting sweaty, put one of these on and stopped sweating as much. I put mine over my neck or my head. One amazing thing I noticed, I wet this thing unknowingly at first under hot water. I didnt put it on because I was thinking, its hot water. A few minutes later I noticed the towel was cool. Yes, this thing went from being hosed in hot water to being cool in a minute or two. Just let it do what its designed to do, evaporate!I didnt notice any skin issues despite it being on me all day. I did get an orange and a blue one and the blue did run when washed a lot more than orange. I would definitely put these in water a few times and wring them out to get some of the bleed out.A bit tough to get back into the case when completely dry.

Excessive Dye and Chemical Smell- Make sure you wash it before using to avoid clothing stains
Excessive color dye and chemical smell at first. I bought the blue one. The instructions say to wash in warm water with gentle soap before using which I did and my white sink turned blue with how much dye came out. So did my hands and finger nails, they’re now blue tinged. I rinsed and rinsed the towel and still the dye kept coming out. I now can’t get the dye completely off my hands even after several times washing and scrubbing them. I’m afraid to try it out in the hot August weather here in Florida as I don’t want to blue stain any of my white golf shirts. I did put on a blue tee shirt and tried the towel. It did feel cool against my skin outside so I’ll give it that for 3 stars. Otherwise 1 or 2 stars not based on its’ functioning as advertised, but rather because I’ll have blue tinged hands until it wears off. I included a photo of my stained fingers. It’s after several times washing and scrubbing them with a scrub brush. The second Frog Towel (same color) I bought for my wife had the same issue. I hope this helps future users.I’ll update if I decide to risk staining a shirt while golfing for the alleged cooling this is supposed to offer. When it’s this hot the only color golf shirt to wear playing for me is white. Maybe I got all of the excess dye out. We’ll see…

I love this product although it arrived in PINK not purple. Ironically I wanted pink to match my wrist bands anyway so maybe the Amazon packer read my mind! The product itself is excellent. We get a lot of heat waves in the summer so this works great just to drape around your back and shoulders or chest and shoulders to help cool down. You can also wrap it around you legs, arms etc – anywhere that is feeling particularly hot. This might be beneficial for someone with a heat rash or hives as it soft, cool, wet and feels great on your skin. It comes in a plastic reusable sealed tube – you store it wet so it is ready to use whenever you need it as well as it travels well in a beach bag, backpack etc. After buying this through Amazon, I have since found this same brand/product in outdoor sports stores but was happy to see I saved a couple bucks buying it through Amazon! This would also make a great gift idea for someone athletic or who spends a lot of time in hot climates, work environments etc. It stays cool for hours – as it dries out, I either spritz mine with a water bottle to keep it moist or submerge for a minute in a sink/bowl of water. Washes nicely by hand with mild soap and water.
