Helps reduce my knee pain significantly
I used it only for 3 days so far, so my review could change after a couple of months – I will update if it changes.30 years ago, I had ACL reconstruction and my knee was never the same but I was fairly active – I did Mt. Whitney 4 times after my surgery, so I can say my knee was holding out well. However, I injured my knee in the gym doing box jumps – Xrays showed the gap on the outside of my knee reduced inside the joint (probably tore some meniscus and might be grinding on bone) – the pain would not subside and the sports orthopedic surgeon said the only solution was knee replacement which I do not want to do for another decade or longer. I finally took a cortisone shot to have some semblance of normalcy and the comfort lasted about 4 months (doctor said the effect of Cortisone shot lasts about 3 months). The pain started again and it got worse – after any activity – doing lunges in the gym or walking half a mile – my knee would become stiff and I could not bend my knee more than 90 degrees. I had to use foam roller multiple times during the day to relax my quads but it would tighten again. I literally had to drag my injured foot because I could not bend it while walking. And going up and down the stairs was the most painful !I used a knee brace but it would start getting sweaty and itchy and I had to pull it off.So I decided to try a strap and found this. Though this says it is for Patellar tendon injury, and all pictures show it placed below the knee, I tried – what the heck – it costs less than 3 Starbucks coffees, so I ordered it.I put it above my knee (see picture) – not too tight, not too loose. And it made a world of difference. Sometimes my pain would be 5-7 on a scale of 10 before but now it rarely goes over 2-3. And my knee does not get as stiff as it was before – I can bend to 120-150 degrees now – not as much as my good knee but this is lot better than what I was able to do during the past 2 years. I wear it while working out at gym and come home without much discomfort. I have not tried walking over a mile yet which I will do this weekend – hopefully I don’t have to drag my foot to get home!It still does not help a lot while driving in stop-and-go traffic where my knee gets stiff but it is better than without having it on.Anyone with knee pain, I strongly recommend this – while working out, it does get a bit sweaty but I put it on for an hour or so, take it off for some time, and put it back on. I am able to quickly go up and down the stairs without holding the railing, and can function about 75% normal while working out.I am going to watch this for another month or so and post an update.Note: If you do not have bulky legs, this definitely will be big if you put it below the knee – above the knee might work but if you are a big person with strong legs, this would fit perfectly.

Works Amazing!
I bought this for my husband who hurt his knee a couple of months ago. Since then, we have run through the gamut of knee braces. One of the problems we had with other braces is that they usually were too small, my husband is tall and has big thighs and calves. When we did find one that was big enough he was constantly having to adjust them and never quite got good enough support. They were ok at best. I saw this one and read a ton of reviews that were all positive , so I bought it. My husband tried it for 3 days now on all kinds of terrain and even at work (construction) and has since said that it’s the best knee brace he’s ever had. It supports him in the exact right spots and has had no issues. He even wore it to the river where there is tons of rocks to step on or over and it kept him stable. Plus, it gets bonus points for not being big and bulky and making my husband sweat. Will definitely buy again if the need ever arises.

Game changer and knee saver
These have really been a game changer for me. I can’t believe how much pain they alleviate and how much they stabilize my knees. The velcro makes them adjustable which is great as you can tighten them throughout the day Each pair lasts me about 6 months because I wear them every single day and eventually they do stretch out. I’ve recommended them to all of my friends and family and even some strangers on the street who have stopped me to ask what they are!

These are the BEST KNEE SUPPORTS bare none *
I have used this exact same knee support for almost 9 years. I needed a new one. Not because mine was worn out, but there really isn’t a way to wash them, other than wiping them with a damp cloth and letting them dry. The company I purchased mine from, doesn’t produce them anymore. This worked the best, so for the last 4 years I’ve been searching for it. They were either made different or the straps were too thin, etc. These are EXACTLY like mine were made. I’m ecstatic to finally find them and a PAIR of them, even though I just need it for my right knee. I have an extra now.Let me tell you what happened in 2019. My doctor told me he wanted me to have a knee brace made. I said, “I’ve had THREE knee braces made and they’re big clumsy things that go all the way down my leg and I can’t wear them. They end up in the back of my closet!” No! He told me, they make small lightweight ones now. They’ve come a long way in the last few years and it will really help me. Doctors must get a kickback, because he harped & harped, until I gave in. I saw the Orthopedic doctor and TOLD him I wanted something easy to get on & off by myself, lightweight and that wouldn’t end up in the back of my closet again. He assured me, that’s what I’d get. I went for the fitting and then to pick up the knee brace and GUESS WHAT? The blasted thing went from my HIP ALL THE WAY DOWN TO MY ANKLE!!! I was so mad, I could spit. I let the so & so know how mad I was, too. He insisted on putting this over $4,000 brace on me. At the knee was a adjustment that is supposed to SEPARATE the bones in the knee. I knew that sounded bad, but he said that would HELP my knee pain. So, he put that monstrosity on me and I attempted to drive home. 10 minutes into it, I had to pull off the road, because I was in excruciating pain. I took it off & managed to rest a few minutes and make it home. A few days later, I was screaming in pain so badly, my sister called an ambulance. I spent 6 days in the hospital, because they couldn’t get my pain under control. That was in 2019 and I’ve been on strong opioids ever since. Don’t get me wrong, this did not cause the 3 pinched nerves in my back, herniated disk, sciatica or other problems. But, my problems were under control and this thing SET EVERYTHING OFF. It of course has been setting in the back of my closet. Medicare and my supplemental insurance paid all that money and I went through the worst pain of my life, for 10 minutes of use and 6 days in the hospital. The doctor told me that my pain is so intense that I’d better plan on being on opioids the rest of my life and I never wanted that. These knee straps are a God send and they really do help. Now, I have to say one thing. I’m heavyset and these are nearly too big for me, but they’re OK. If you are a heavyset woman or a man, they should be great. If you are THIN, I do not think they will work for you. The straps will be too long and overlap. They will probably fall down on you and that won’t give you any support. You’ll need to find a shorter band, if you’re thinner.I do recommend these. Thank you for reading my review.

Best
One of the best bits I’ve made. I wear these everyday. Offers that extra stability to keep my kneecap from sliding around & helps with meniscus pain.

This is an incredible product for running, though your mileage might be different. Speaking of my personal experience, I resumed my running this month after 5 month break due to current situation. I see a big difference in experience between 2 runs, first run at 4km without and second run at 5km with the strap. Its obvious I can cover a longer distance due to the knee pain* only occurred after 4km with pain factor (needle like pain) in contrast to the initial run which my pain kicks in at 1.6km with sharp pain (as if i already ran 5km). For both of each runs I did my standard leg warm-ups. *possibly Iliotibial Band Syndrome, pain at each side knee cap. Pain subsides immediately after i stop running. This product would make it easier for anyone who may has history of knee pain or just started running to train. It helps reduce pain and possibly avoid injury. I feel this product will help me accomplish a life long goal of completing a half marathon once, which i previously thought its impossible. Though common sense says DO NOT OVER DO IT! Stop immediately if you feel pain, run within your limit, and have at least 2 days rest inbetween runs or other high impact activity like football/tennis.Pros:The strap fits small knee size at 11inch (below knee cap). Its tight fit. this means it neither fall off or had the feeling of dropping off during my runEasy to adjust due to the strong velcro strapI can feel its supporting my knee, and its evidence by the massive reduction of pain.Faster recovery and facilitates training for long distance running due to better knee supportCons:Nothing to fault it, but perhaps they should include an instruction to say how to wash it (hand wash or chunk it into the washing machine and at what temperatures. Looking at amazon reviews, its washable.Tips:To tighten, its ok to overlap the the initial strap to the second strap. Don’t mind the bulge. See my 2nd picture in this review. Then, tightening it to feel a tight fit like wearing a skinny jeans.
