Read the reviews, but use common sense.
I read tons of reviews before buying this and I was so scared for the assembly after reading the reviews. If you have an ounce of common sense, this is incredibly easy to put together. The instructions are clear and the hardware is labeled.I will say that I spent the first 30 minutes labeling all the pieces and making sure everything was there. I lined the hardware up in the order I would need it.From start to finish including labeling the pieces, it took me 2 hours. I am not super handy at all and this was very easy to assemble!I went for a quick spin on it and I did notice it does have a noticeable wobble to it. You really have to engage your core with this machine. However, for the price, I’m very pleased!I will update once I’ve used it for a week or so.

Decent machine for the price
We bought this because my husband needed to start working out, and I wanted a non-treadmill option to replace running in the depths of winter. We weren’t sure enough about an elliptical to invest in a higher end machine, and liked that this one had wheels for storing it out of the way. It was not too difficult to put together, but there were a couple of pieces that just would not fit quite right (the covers for the hinge at the bottom of the arms/front of the foot rails). There is a fair amount of squeaking, which is going to mean taking it apart at some point to add more oil–it would be nice if it came with extra and directions for placing it. He’s 5’8″ and I’m 5’5″, and we both find the stride length is a little too short. It’s workable, though. It is reasonably stable and doesn’t move around on the floor. I would not trust a tablet, phone or book not to bounce off the rack for it, though. The computer is reasonably clear and easy to understand, though I’m not sure I’d trust any data except mileage–how could it calculate calories burned, for example, without knowing the user’s age, weight, etc.? So don’t expect too much of it, except maybe as a tool to tell you if you did more or less than the last time you used it. All in all, it is working well enough for our purposes, especially since we don’t really have the space for a better machine. I’m going to be looking forward to getting back out on the roads again in the spring, though!

Amazon is stellar, manufacturer not so much
So, I ordered this for my wife and I to use when we can’t get to the gym. It has been in one place, and used by two people on average of 4-5 times a week for an hour at a time – I say this to preface the fact that it has NOT been abused in any way, nor had what someone might consider heavy usage. The machine itself gives one a decent workout and you can set the resistance pretty easily. However, right from the start I had to keep adjusting various bolts on it that would work loose, again with what can be called “normal” use. It squeaked and squawked but still mechanically seemed fine. Two months – TWO – after I purchased this, my wife noticed a slippage somewhere in the flywheel mechanism so I again tightened the bolts in a vain attempt to take care of the problem. When I realized that it was inside a part of the mechanism that is definitely not “user serviceable,” I called Amazon to see about either repair or replacement. They were extremely friendly and professional and put me in touch with the manufacturer, who told me that they would send out a replacement part – essentially the entire guts of the machine.I then get an email from said manufacturer telling me that we need to wait 6-8 WEEKS for the part. So, I use the machine for two months, it breaks, and now I have to wait two more months to use it again.Amazon, again, was professional and handled the situation extremely well and refunded my money. This experience, however, has completely soured me on getting equipment like this online. I will continue to be a loyal Amazon customer, but will most likely never buy this kind of product again. Too much $$ at stake and too frustrating.

High quality, sturdy elliptical with with a decent stride length.
I needed a elliptical to cross train for upcoming half-marathon as recently running outdoors in the city has been very inconvenient. The Marcy is very affordable for the quality-all metal frame and the design is simple, minimalist and fits in the corner of my living room when not in use. Unlike the steep steps that some reviewers have mentioned about other machines, this one provided a longer stride (I’m only 5’3 120 lbs though) that felt comfortab, natural, and smooth. While it did have some squeak and noises, they went away with loosening of the bolts and some WD40 lubricant. I have really enjoyed watching my favorite shows while getting my heartrate up instead of sitting, and it is a great way to burn some calories and a much better use of my time!

I have a couple of bones to pick
Assembly is not the easiest. It took me 3 hours to assemble because of the back bolt line up on the pedals. One of the bolts wasn’t made correctly. After trying for 30 minutes of screwing it backwards to find the tread entry and still finding cross thread resistance, I forced it through the cross thread. With the 3 inch allen wrench provided, it wasn’t easy.Maneuverability is great. You can pick it up and wheel it around with ease. Sturdiness is questionable. I’m 5’8″ and 200 pounds. I can topple this thing if I’m not paying attention. If you have issues with balance, don’t get this – you WILL hurt yourself. The stride is small, but you will FEEL the burn because of it.Other than that, it’s a decent machine. It gets the job done, but you will have to be careful on it. Good ellipticals do not come cheap. This is not a good machine, it is decent. However, knowing what I know about it, if I could go back in time, I would still buy it.

I’m not a fit person and the elliptical is still easy to use. It’s small and does not take up a lot of space. It may not seem sturdy but it is. I’m still learning the dashboard but it seems intuitive and not to difficult to learn.

Good quality machine, but the directions were a bit confusing. Also a few pieces came missing!! It took a few hours for boyfriend and I to set up. Machine is not very stable. But it will do. You get what you pay for.

El producto es bueno, muy pesado para manipular sería su contra, el medidor que tiene tampoco es muy intuitivo o útil, pero el aparato por si solo funciona sin problema y pare ser duradero en un uso estándar.
