Couldn’t find my old charger or a replacement… so I decided to grab a new watch- love pink – color is ok- doesn’t track steps too well- makes calls and can answer calls- shows text notifications but can’t respond. Not bad overall but I like my old one better

Through the use of the companion app, the process of pairing with my phone took less than five minutes. The Bluetooth handshake was successful on the very first attempt, and the watch immediately retrieved contacts, calendar notifications, and a dozen different watch-face selections. The two bands that are offered allow me to convert from a sport strap that is breathable for my workouts to a style that is more sophisticated before I go to the office. It is no longer a source of anxiety for me to fiddle with small pins since switching does not involve the use of any tools; sliding lugs click solidly with a pleasing snap. A first touch on the exercise tile marks the beginning of each and every morning run. The GPS locks in a short amount of time, and the distance readings are within a few steps of the numbers that are shown on the trail markers. I am presented with a post-run summary inside the application, which includes split times and a straightforward color bar that illustrates effort zones without overwhelming me with stats. An animated thumbs-up comes after a brief stretch break, and that light gamification keeps me moving without feeling guilty. Daily step nudges occur when I remain at the computer for an excessive amount of time, but the reminders seem encouraging rather than reprimanding.

I’ve been looking at my mother’s and grandmother’s impressive galaxy and apple watches with a little envy, and while this watch doesn’t do an extra 100 things, it does have great features especially for the price point. The watch face is interchangeable, which I liked since the default clown colours did not quite suit me. I am able to use it effectively so I can do interval cardio training, which is something I have been wanting for ages. I personally think the battery life is great, it can last me over a day, however I feel it isn’t long enough to be able to consistently use the watch to track your sleep pattern. It’s great to receive notifications for various apps such as messenger and snapchat on the watch if my phone is in the other room. The exercise tracker is also great, I like to turn it to the walking option and take my dog for a walk to track how long we’ve been walking, the kilometres and the speed. Speaking of kilometres, as an Aussie I am stoked that this has the kilometres option! Overall, a fantastic watch full of features with not a bad price point.
