Good pair for those just starting out
This item is as advertised / shown. These are being used by a teen girl who only just started working out in the past year. She’s not necessarily doing very strenuous exercises just yet.For her purposes, these straps are working fine for her. They’re easy to use, providing extra non-slip grip support and allowing her to lift heavier weights. The straps are holding up so far; it’s been two months. The price point is really reasonable. She recommends it for those who are also just starting out.

Vendor doesn’t explain how to use them.
The headline says it. The package contains the straps and nothing else. There are a lot of YouTube videos on lifting straps. A brief summary:Before putting them on, route the straps through the loops to create right- and left-handed mirror images. When the strap is properly seated with the logo at the back of your wrist, the long loose end runs parallel to the lines in your palm, out between thumb and forefinger.Wrap the strap over the bar and bring it up under your hand. Use your dominant hand to assist if necessary, because you are probably sufficiently skillful with the dominant hand to wrap without an assist.Snug the strap firmly around the bar and under your hand. No need to wrap it more than once.Lift.The background also matters, what and why. The recommendation is to avoid the use of straps by strengthening your natural grip. But if grip turns out to be the weak link, straps are a way to allow continued progress with increased weight, increased reps, or increased sets. Do the first reps or sets bare-handed, add straps to complete them if necessary. They are tools. As for me, I’m working my way up, just starting 80-lb deadlifts this week. I didn’t need the straps for 3×10 reps, but I could imagine wanting to use them sometime soon, maybe at 85 lb.
