Skeptical–at first.
I tried Flameout at the recommendation of my brother in law. 13 years of submission grappling created some natural wear-and-tear on my body–primarily my knees. After 12 months of chronic tightness and pain in my knees from the moment I woke up till I hit the sack, I decided to try this stuff out in lieu of getting my knees operated on. My knees would respond positively to high dosages of ibuprofen and other NSAIDs, but commonsense would suggest that long-term ingestion of that stuff is a sure-shot way to put a hole in your stomach.At first, I was skeptical about this stuff. It seemed like overpriced fish-oil. But, I figured there no harm in trying it out. So, I did.Fast forward to two weeks of taking it…I began waking up and going about the day with zero knee pain. I continue my normal grappling and weightlifting routine without a train of soreness or pain in my knees.As an added plus, it absolutely reduces my soreness and recovery time from hard weightlifting sessions. While I realize it’s hard to provide a meaningful assessment of this stuff after two weeks, I will say the early indicators are very positive.While it’s certainly not a miracle drug, I would characterize Flameout as a highly effective anti-inflammatory supplement.

pills stuck together and stink like rancid fish
3rd bottle in a row where the pills are all stuck together and smell like rancid fish. The quality has gone down so much with biotest products. i have been buying this product for 18 years. used to give to wife while she was pregnant and our son was born. i loved biotest. but its terrible quality now.

Pricey, but not if you believe in DHA
If you’re just looking for omega-3s, this is a dang expensive alternative. However, if you believe that virtually all of the benefits associated with omega-3 intake is really due to DHA, then this is a reasonable alternative. To get an equivalent amount of DHA as is found in one of these capsules, one would have to consume 10 cheap fish-oil tablets. Not only would that add 10g of fat to your diet, but it wouldn’t be cheap.I’m not sure why they added CLA. Even if one believes it works (research is, shall we say, mixed) the amount of CLA in one of these tablets doesn’t approach the doses used in the studies.The pill is a little larger than typical fish pills, making it slightly harder to swallow. I notice a difference, but I can swallow it just the same. No annoying after effects (fish burps) like from the fish pills.As for the health benefits, I didn’t notice any improvement in healing relative to fish pills, but I believe in the DHA studies so I’ll probably buy this again.

I’ve been using Flameout for years. I recommend it to my clients that ask about this kind of product. Other brands I’ve tried off and on have all given me problems. I keep coming back to this.
