He ate it!
It always feels so odd to write a review for cat food, mostly because -I- am not the one whose opinion matters. That person is a delightful individual who speaks not a single word of human language — although he understands many words perfectly well. Happily, this cat food gets a passing score with him. It got him eating when he’d been picky about his food because of the heat we’ve been seeing for the first time this Summer (at the end of August).From the look of the food, I think what appealed to him was the abundant gravy (ok, let’s be honest — my gravy-lover probably loved that part the most) and also the soft rice. For some reason he’d been on a rice kick lately, so the rice in this food likely also held some appeal for him.I’m not too keen on the weight management aspect, as he’s actually underweight, but at the end of the day the most important thing is that he’s eating something on these hot days. After we had a cooler spell of weather for about a couple of days, he went back to eating his regular food, but I’m still doling this out on hot days to keep his calories up. I’m very glad to have this!!

Cats love it!
I was not expecting much luck with our 3 cats, as they are far to picky. They loved it. I mean REALLY loved it. Typically they leave 2/3 in each bowl, and most of that is thrown out after a couple hours. One can divided among 3 bowls, a normal serving size for wet food, and it was all gone within minutes. It looked tasty, with a nice amount of salmon and rice, along with plenty of gravy. It didn’t smell as bad as the pur e na stuff, and I guess it tasted great.

Very popular flavor, at least in my house.
We prefer feeding our pets dry food/kibble as that’s what seems to agree best with their stomachs and teeth, but will occasionally use wet food or similar as a topper/for extra flavor, which is what we did with this stuff.Taste-wise, it seems very popular. Dinner including this is very quiet, and goes very fast. As cat food goes, this has been just about the quickest eaten I’ve ever seen. If your cat is like my little ladies, this should be quite popular.The tins are on the smaller side, so it’s not a lot of food per tin, so I’d say that if your cat is of the bulkier variety, he or she may be complaining if only served one tin of this per meal.The quality seems, as far as I can tell, pretty great. And one thing I can say about this food is that it doesn’t have much of a smell to it, which I personally think is a big plus. The consistency is best described as finely chopped thin pieces of meat, suspended in a juice of some sort that is thicker than water, but not lumpy or jelly-like.Value-wise, it seems about on par with similar offerings from other manufacturers, so I’d rate this as quite buyable, give how popular it is, and the apparent quality.In short, this is: Cat food that seems both tasty and of good quality.

I ordered this food because one of my two cats is hefty, and the other is picky (it’s truly Sprat & Sprat Cat Co.). Usually they both meow at meal time (3x/day) and then when the kibble hits the bowl the chonky one hoovers it and the persnickety one looks at me like “what is this gruel?” He then takes hours to eat a few kibbs at a time while we maintain diligence with shooing his brother away from his bowl. We’ve tried various foods, wet and dry, and though some get his approval initially, once the novelty wears off it’s much the same. With this food we give each cat 1/2 the can at lunchtime (still acclimating), and both eat it readily, so there’s an initial win!Time will tell whether it makes a dent in the fat packs of the chonkiboy.

I’ve got a picky boy but it seems nice!
Listen, my orange kitty boy is a picky boy. He doesn’t have any interest in this food unfortunately. That being said, it appears to be quite high quality. The ingredients are surprisingly healthy and it’s one of the most appealing cat foods I’ve had to smell. It’s a bit expensive, but if you are trying to keep your cat on a diet it’s an affordable option compared to a prescription diet.Overall it seems like a really nice cat food, but my cat just ain’t having it.

I was happy to try this case of Purina Pro Plan Adult Weight Management Salmon and Rice Entree. This cat food comes in a case of 24 of the 3 oz cans with a pull tab top. I have two cats and one of them is extremely picky. Well they both liked this food! That is a win in our home. It’s so hard finding something that both cats love. I can’t speak about the weight management aspect of this food as we haven’t been using it long enough. I am just thrilled to have something that both cats will eat.

This Salmon low calorie cat food was a winner with the kitty’s. To be fair, they will eat just about anything. They normally just get dry food but occasionally get canned food as a treat. They don’t understand why they are getting so many treats lately, but they are not complaining.The food looked good, very meaty, in a bit of gravy. It was a large 24 pack of 3 ounce cans. It is a bit more expensive than the brand I normally get but also appears to be a higher quality product. I can’t imagine I will see any major weight loss with just one case, but I am sure with consistent feedings my cats would lose a couple pounds. Which they could definitely use,

Excellent, tasty brand for our 4 cats
The ingredients in this cat food are superior to others. After having compared lesser expensive brands for several years, we have chosen this is our primary brand. Our cats love the seafood varieties of Purina already and we loved trying this particular line. They are excited to eat when these cans open and all 4 eat completely each time, which is a win given how nutritious this food is for them. It makes us very happy that they leave no residue and that we know that when they are eating, we are helping to protect their health with high quality ingredients.
