I have tried at least 15 different pre-workouts with different combinations of ingredients and just by comparing the label of AX1 X-Cite to others you can obviously tell of the quality difference. This is one of those supplements where you get what you pay for. Anybody who follows Athlean X on YouTube knows of the shear quality that is delivered by Jeff.I’m not about all the BS and bro science that’s on the internet. I’ve been training for 12 years (I’m 28) – 11 of which I ‘thought’ I knew what I was doing yet I wasn’t getting where I wanted to be. When I found Jeff’s channel I thought it was just another one of these dudes on YouTube trying to sell me something but I will tell you this. I have been using his training programs for the past year and literally every time I train its the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I love how he’s done all of the thinking and applied his Physical therapy degree to enhance the programming of the training – I’m always sore after training – even at a high fitness level. He does offer a top notch meal plan for every day of the week where you eat good food that allows you to burn fat while adding muscle. Although I only use the meal plan for ideas and as a guideline to insert foods that I like it is still incredibly effective. DON’T measure stuff! I just keep a general idea of what I’m eating calorie wise and pay attention to what I look like in the mirror and make adjustments from there. Consistency is what dominates in fitness.I only recently started using X-Cite and honestly the price is what kept me away at first. After trying it once I was shocked at the difference compared to “Enter Pre-Workout Brand Here”. There is not a crazy rush of caffeine or feeling like your head is going to explode with this stuff. There is also no crash associated thereafter. Quality over quantity seems to be the pinnacle of fitness in general and this pre workout is no different. Again, I hated the price until I tried it and now I won’t ever go back. Use your Amazon Subscribe & Save and it’s not so bad. I get 15% off since I have 5 or more subscriptions and it make its more affordable. Regardless you should never cheap out on what you put in your body and the money you spend on nutrition to improve yourself. Lets face it, we blow money on dumber things all the time…

An excellent pre-workout drink backed by a solid guy with a clear passion for fitness and science-based fitness education.
I’ve been using this all week for my workouts and it does what it says on the tin. Or plastic bin in this case. It mixes well, tastes good (I like mine watered down a bit), and kicks my old-man butt into gear for a good, energetic workout without making me feel jittery or like I need to sit down and check my blood pressure. They didn’t overdo it with the electrolytes and niacin, which is nice. It’s got enough caffeine in it to give me a good bit of focus and the taurine, guarana, and B12 help with energy too. Nothing’s perfect, but this is pretty close. If I had to nit-pick I’d go with stevia over sucralose for sweetness. That’s all I can think of.I freely admit that I’m a Jeff Cavalier fan, so there may be some sort of bias in my review, but it’s my honest opinion of this product. I’m a middle-aged guy who finally started taking fitness seriously about three years ago. I’ve read dozens of books, burnt through a lot of supplements, and learned a lot about both getting fit and the fitness industry. Everyone who cares to know does know that, unfortunately, there is a lot of BS in this industry in the form of bro-sci and just flat out deception in the interest of making money. Although I have to concede that I’ve never personally met Jeff I have followed him on Youtube and on his website for over a year now. I think he’s a stand up guy with a sincere focus on providing quality in everything he offers.

When you want the Effects with none of the Fillers.
I’m a big fan of Jeff, I’ve been following him for years and using his products. My favorite part of his philosophy is the no BS he provides. Everything in his products, amounts, are listed and have researched, clinically proven, peer reviewed dosages to be as effective as possible without being wasteful (you can take as much creatine/protein powder you want but your body can only absorb so much at one time and you piss the rest). I’ve taken C4 (original & new), NO-Explode (original & new), Ghost, Bucked Up, Total War, Animal, etc. I’d be here all day mentioning them all, but point is this matches them in terms of energy, mental focus, taste and helped pioneer the market into a more respectable state that it’s in now where most companies now put the majority of their ingredients on the bottle. No more “Proprietary Blend” BS. I’ve been watching & using his products for long enough now that I trust his products & the information he provides, unlike that one Vince guy (take your pick on which one).

Caffeine may be issue for those not used to it
Taste was OK. I was taking after breakfast. I found that it had high caffeine and since I don’t really consume caffeine, the amount in this was causing me not to sleep. So I switched to another type with no caffeine and I seem to have all the benefits with none of the issues. One other note is that the humidity is high in fall and the powder was getting clumpy and not mixing as well after about a month.
