Soft pieces so you don’t bruise
I ordered this jump rope for my daughter to practice her jumping. Although the rope is a little long for her (age 8) it’s a quality material for children. It’s not that old hard plastic that leaves bruises on your shins. This is like a silicone. I was able to tie the rope shorter so it worked better for my daughter. My daughter was absolutely terrible at this unit in gym with a personal record of 2 jumps. After having these for a week, she has been at it constantly and has quadrupled her ability!My husband on the other hand broke the handle off of the second jump rope the first time it was used so I had to remove a star.

Overall a Good Jump Rope
These jump ropes remind me of the ones from my childhood. The beads add weight to the rope so it swings around nicely though I find they need slightly more weight than the soft beads provide. The soft beads don’t stink as bad as hard beads do. I found the ropes to be a bit long for kids but I was able to get the string from the handles and tie them up a bit shorter. My kids have managed to disconnect the handles but it was fairly easy to fix them back up. I would suggest re-securing the knots before giving them to your kids.
