Good for Adults with Hips
I bought these for rink roller skating. It’s hard to find good hip pads in adult sizes, especially for people who actually have hips. I am pleased with these. They fit like bike shorts; the legs don’t ride up much and the lycra fabric is quite stretchy, so I don’t struggle to pull them up or fasten. I normally buy women’s size 10-12 (American) pants and the XL I bought in this is very comfortable. I might even have been able to wear a L. I wear them over leggings. Easy to get into with a deep opening, and strong velcro fastening keeps it closed during activity. The 2″ wide elastic does not cut into my waist. There is no padding in front.Pads are about 1/2″ thick. There is one big pad across the butt which provides adequate tail bone protection. My only complaint, common with these kind of shorts, is that as they stretch around my hips, gaps open up between the pads. Some places the gaps are up to 1″ wide.I like the general fit and comfort. You get a medium amount of protection against low impact falls in casual sports, and at this price you get your money’s worth.

Amazing. I don’t usually write reviews but I just CRASHED at 30 mph and suffered no damage on my very bony hips. The cushions are perfectly placed over all crash prone areas. Thank you!!!

Good protection
This is a well made, well padded short that offers good protection. The pads feel thick and have a good density that reduces impact, from hits and falling. These will do nicely in sports, and are a good way to protect yourself when practicing a new discipline. They also work well at protecting elderly people, we actually got these to have someone wear who keeps falling from leg weakness. It’s worked well already, and isn’t too heavy to wear all the time. You might want to order a size up, as this fits quite tightly. If you plan to wear it over clothes, you might even consider two sizes up. But it does have stretch, so even tight fits do work and will get easier with time.

Well constructed pants for snowboarding
Nice compact cushions. They are positioned in all the places that I can fall on while snowboarding, that includes the both sides of the thigh. I am a size XS, 26-27 waist and size M fits very well over both the base layer and mid layer. The material is stretchy so it doesn’t feel lose and also not snug. The construction is good, all the pads are well-sewn and securely attached to the pants. I am happy with this product and can’t wait to bring it out to the slopes.
