I can’t get enough!
Holy arm workout! You can definitely feel this and I mean it in the best way! I love that you can adjust the weight with literally a push of a button. It makes arm day a bit more fun, if you will. I love how easy it is to assemble as well as take apart. It shows the different ways to use this device and they all work! I can feel it in my back, my biceps, triceps, etc. I literally ordered a second one to keep in my car at all times so I can use it wherever. The material they use feels durable and I see it lasting for a while, my ONLY complaint is that is squeaks a little but I’m sure I can fix that. Highly recommend to add to your home gym collection!

Good for desk, not for bodybuilders, not as good as bodyweight exercises
Pros:* compact & portable for exercise & storageCons:* not as versatile as barbells* not as effective as bodyweight exercises* curls are awkward & hard to get full range* foam covers aren’t likely to lastI’m no body builder, and these give me a good amount of resistance. They provide enough for a decent workout or to burn off extra energy. They don’t tire me out very quickly, and don’t seem as effective as bodyweight exercises (e.g. pushups, dips). For a body builder, I suspect they won’t be enough. Parts of the trainer brace against the arm for some exercises; pressure from this becomes a little uncomfortable on longer workouts. The grips are covered with the foam you often find on exercise equipment, which can degrade over time and with use. It shouldn’t be too difficult to replace if that happens (remove the 2 nuts holding the straight grips to remove them, and the foam can be slid on and off each part). Silicone would probably be better.

Better at some things than others
Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. The build quality is decent and it comes apart easily for good portability. The safety feature of padding the springs is nice, too.It has a surprisingly strong level of tension resistance that can be somewhat adjusted between two pin settings on the handle inserts. It’s strong enough that I think many untrained people will have difficulty using it for reps. I mention untrained people here because this is exactly the type of gadget that I would have bought many years ago when I first started working out. Low cost-of-entry into exercise, and multifunctional like this is a great place to start for most people. At this point, I’ve been weight training for decades. I’m a bit stronger than average, and this still worked some challenging muscle angles for me. I guess the short of it is that this might not be right for a first entry into strength training. For my specific physiology, arm lengths, angles, etc., I found this to be limited in how I’m actually able to use it. I can use it comfortably in front of me using both arms bilaterally for the chest-fly type exercise. It’s really good for that, and the constant tension in my lower pecs and the center line of my chest hit differently than dumbbells or a machine, in a good way.At the same time, it hits my inner biceps and forearms in a unique, although secondary way. However, I can’t do the direct arm work exercises that it shows AT ALL. Nothing about the bar positions in either adjusted setting fits my arms even close to being able to do arm exercises. Also, going back to the tension resistance, I think it’s probably too much for a typical untrained person to be able to curl it with one arm even if their arm fit absolutely perfectly. Finally, I used it effectively in thigh-master fashion for my inner thighs. I had to brace it pretty heavily with my hands and kind of grit my teeth and hope it didn’t slip, but it hits that part of my leg better than anything I’ve used other than a hip adduction machine, largely due to the high level of resistance. I’ll continue to use it for this and for the chest flys. For 20ish bucks, it’s a good gadget for adding some variety to a routine, but like I said, may not be right for someone just starting out.

Jammed during assembly process on both sides. Too stiff to use/bend for women.
This item requires assembly, and it jammed on both sides during the assembly process. It was not manufactured very well. Also, I can tell that even if I had been able to assemble this properly, it would be a workout item only for a very strong man. It’s very difficult to bend and doesn’t have any adjustments or levels.

Works well
Good addition to home fitness equipment. Easy to set up and start using right away. I also appreciate that it’s compact enough to easily hang on a wall or store under something so that it’s not taking up tons of space when not in use.

Struggled to get meaningful workouts using this arm strengthener
I chose to get these to change up my workout routine when I am in my primary home. I have a Summer home with a clubhouse full of free weights and various exercise machines to keep me satisfied. I was hoping this adjustable U-shaped arm trainer would fill the void in the primary residence. Unfortunately, it fell short.Pros:Easy assembly.Sturdy materialsHigh resistancePortabiltyCons:Way too uncomfortable to useEven the easy mode is still strong resistanceLimited range on the workoutsLimited types of exercisesUnknown durabilityFor me, using it a few times left me pumped and frustrated. Way too hard and I work out regularly.May work for some.3 Stars

Great Multi Purpose Workout Tool!
Works those muscles! This workout tool has been great, I really appreciate the all of the different areas you can work out with just one item. You can change the resistance to get a lighter or harder workout. What I don’t like is that the guide it comes with does not come with recommendations on how to best use it and what areas it works out with each method. We had to search online to see all the various ways we could get the most use out of the exerciser. Apparently you can use it with your head, arms, and legs! It would add a lot of value to have a workout guide.

easy to build & take apart and effective to use
This assembles and dissassembles with ease in just a minute or less. That makes it easy to store and use. It is also very high tension. I got it to surprise my fiance and could barely flex it with my arms. I think he will get good use out of it and find it an effective amount to develop muscle.
