Nice vest, love the bars instead of sand to add weight. It is a little big and bounces around when jogging. Otherwise, love this style and that it is adjustable. Tried the other style and it was hard on the shoulders. This one distributes weight evenly.

I really like this product and it seems to work really well so far! My only complaints are that the hook keeps falling off and we have to keep putting it back on before wearing it every few times and that the Weights are difficult to get into the slots. However, you can just put the weights in the pocket in the back without shoving them into the specific slots so that works! I’d definitely recommend this! Looks great on as well! I’m 4’11, 112 lbs and my husband is about 5’8, 142 lbs and it fits both of us with no issue at all.

I really like this vest. Tried returning before it arrived but I was too late and I am glad, thought maybe it would be too heavy. 14-18 lbs, I am 5’3”, I wear it while doing the elliptical. Feels great, fits great.

Similar feel to walking with a heavy backpack – like that the weight is adjustable
Comfortable to wear and I like that the weight is adjustable. They said you’re supposed to select a weighted vest to be about 5-10% of your weight. I like that I can start off low, but then make adjustments to the weight of the vest as I progress in my walking.The vest itself is weighted with sand in the back and in the straps. There are 4 metal bars that you can remove from a pocket in the back and one on each strap to increase it from 8lbs to 12lbs. The metal bars are nice and they don’t necessarily slide in and out of the pockets really easily, but it’s not that difficult to remove and put back.I am petite and this vest fit me well right out of the box. It comes with an arm strap you can put around your bicep to hold your phone/keys/whatnot, but I have no interest in using it. It also works to store the 4 extra bars I’m currently not using.Because the vest itself is full of sand, you can’t throw it in the wash to clean, only wipe down. I do get sweaty while using it and so I just lay it out in the sun to let it air out and dry.I live in a really warm and humid climate so I was expecting this to be really hot. It wasn’t that bad actually, no different than if you are walking with a backpack full of stuff. I did start off with 8lbs and my shoulders were a little sore – the kind of sore like if you were walking around with a heavy backpack for an hour.

I’ve never had a weighted vest before, so I don’t have any measure for comparison, but as a vest-newbie, I really like this vest!It fits comfortably – it’s snug (it needs to be) and there’s plenty of straps and padding for super-comfy use. I also like that it has reflective safety strips for outside use. The vest itself is weighted with sand, and then comes with additional weighted metal bars so that you can add to it as you wish. It is not bulky or cumbersome to wear in any way whatsoever -I was worried it might become one of those ‘thought it would be a good idea but now it sits collecting dust’ sort of things but I’ve been using it consistently and can definitely tell a difference!The quality of this vest met all of my expectations – it is well made, with sold stitching. All of the weight compartments fit the weights appropriately, and all of the straps are snugly in place.The *only* reason it gets 4 stars is you can’t wash it (because of the sand). I’ve Febreezed it as needed but I’m going to have to dig deeper into Google to figure out how to really get it clean.
