Designed by Los Angles-based collective Homew, the Crimp Pinch Mug is hand blown in one of China’s oldest glassware areas.
Specially Designed
Specially Designed Rock Climbing Mug
Instead of having a handle like a normal mug, this crimp mug is sculpted to look like a rock surface and requires the drinker to pinch the hold, in a similar way to holding a rock handhold on a crag or indoor gym climbing wall.

A Simple Way to Build Finger Strength
The Crimp is designed to be lifted by anyone, regardless of how much climbing experience they have, but still requires a good pinch and therefore helps build strength in your fingers. It is heavy, weighs 1.25 pounds empty and 1.9 pounds while fully loaded with your favorite drink.
If your morning tea/brew doesn’t wake you up in the morning, this pinch mug sure will!!!Maybe you’ve got climbing holds above every doorway to keep up your strength in readiness for those multi day climbs. Or maybe you go to the rocks every now and again just to get out and have fun. Well with a Mug, even when your relaxing with a cuppa, you’ll be getting a little bit stronger. This climber mug is not officially graded for difficulty, but the difficulty varies depending on your hands condition. When your hands are dry, hold this mug is easy even for a kid, but when your hands are wet or sweaty, it’s hard even for a professional climber. Imagine you wake up in the morning and have a hot tea with it, it’s like a burning hell.If you feel difficult to hold it, chalk is aid!

Just Sit Back, Relax And Get Stronger

Good quality
I bought this as a gift for my God son and he loved it! It’s great quality, heavy not the thin glass I expected it to be! I would recommend !

Cute but useless
It’s a good cup, but the fun part of holding it like a crimp in the climbing gym is impossible, it’s super slippery and has no grip. Even more so once you put hot drinks in it. I had to put sports tape on the hold to actually be able to grip it. Once I did that it’s a lot of fun 😊

“Easy to hold”, ha ha!
This is the perfect gift for the climber who “has everything.” I am not a climber, but my brother’s family all are – this is great for them! Solid construction and appropriate level of geometric texture in the “handle” to simulate a pinch hold. Funny little conversation piece that is also functional! Nice, heavy glass with a stout bottom – not quite “rowdy bar” thick, but, solid. Probably not a beginner’s “everyday use” piece of glassware, but a good bar game/challenge type of equipment! 100% planning on making up some challenge rules (party foul) for out next family party!

Cool mug for the climber in your life
This is a pretty cool mug especially for the climbers in your life. Its all glass, but seems very durable. The handle is thicker glass and has some texture on the part that you don’t hold onto which makes it kindof look like rock. Its a pretty sturdy mug that has some heft to it, its not going to break if your hand gets tired and you drop it. Maybe be careful with hot drinks if you’re hands are weak 🙂

A bit less grippable as I expected
I admit I’m no rock climber, I just got this as it looked cool and like the thought of it. I did expect the grip to be a bit difficult but this ends up a bit more slippery and falling out of my hand as shown in the video. I think if the grip was maybe a bit more jagged or a little bit of frosted treatment to it, it would still hold the difficulty of the crimp grip while not having the slippery nature of glass being an added difficulty that may deter many.
