Simple but effective
I know, I know… it’s just a piece of foam right? Well, it’s a durable piece of foam with the correct shape and density to aid you. I’ve primarily used it for back pain. My round-trip commute for work each day is three hours. I do drive a very comfortable luxury car but even it can’t negate the effects of just being seated for those long stretches. To add to my back woes, while at work I am either seated at a desk, a conference table or out climbing on equipment. None of these things by itself is a “back breaker” but in combination,they certainly aren’t conducive to back health. I have a high dollar massage chair at home and while I do like it, it takes up time to run through a routine and with that commute plus a twelve hour work day, time is not always something I have an abundance of. That’s where this foam roller really shines. I can spend a couple of minutes with it at night or in the morning to quickly target trouble spots. If used with regularity, you can diminish those pains significantly making you feel better throughout the day, sleep better at night and wake up more refreshed and energized.

This works well to loosen up tight muscles in my back, as well as relieve sciatic pain down the side of my leg!It’s made well and good quality. It’s harder than I thought it would be but that is in part what makes it work so well.

Product arrived slightly damaged on foam as seen in pics. Doesn’t affect the functionality of roller. Tried to show that it has some give in pics but still firm enough to get the job done. Used on my back immediately after unboxing and it felt amazing, the feel good hurt kind 🙂 My back popped a few times and it definitely loosened things up. Excited to use and see how it holds up after some time. Picture with scissors is to show size. It basically fits the width of my body with not much extra on either side.

Excellent recovery tool
I’ve been struggling with back pain for some time now and decided to explore some tools to get relief myself and I read a lot of mixed reviews, some saying that this was too firm or poorly constructed, but this is perfect for my needs.I will say that there is a noticeable line where two halves of the cylinder meet, not sure why they mold them that way but it does not appear to affect the utility and you can’t feel it either when using it.This roller is what I’d call medium firm. It’s not super soft where you’ll sink right through it nor is it so hard that it has no give. It’s dense enough that if you press hard enough you can indent it with your thumb/finger but not much.I have followed some basic “roll out” recovery videos to learn the basic moves but generally just explored what felt best for my body. I use this regularly to crack my back after evening yoga, just lay down with the roller about shoulder/shoulder blade height with your hands laced behind your head and just exhale and roll up and it releases so much tension.I think this has just the right amount of firmness and texture for the price. Not too overwhelming for a beginner either. Would recommend.

I really like the size of this foam roller – easy enough to pack up to bring to the gym, but big enough to be able to use (not one of the compact squishy ones). Had a medium firmness which is perfect in my opinion, and the ridges provide enough pressure but not too aggressive like other foam rollers. Will see how the durability is/how long it lasts, but so far I’m really happy with this purchase!
