Durable, high quality, easy to use HRM without a bunch of extra metrics
I debated about which HRM to get and ultimately decided on this one. I am a cyclist primarily and currently don’t do any other sports. I really liked being able to remove the unit to rinse or wash the band as needed. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now and I have consistently had reliable, stable connections (I connect it to both Zwift through Apple TV and my Garmin Edge 540). When I am not on the bike I am wearing my Fenix, so I haven’t tried connecting it to my phone yet. It’s so incredibly easy to set up and each time I put on the strap it connects automatically without even pressing any buttons. The strap and unit feel solid and high quality. I have a feeling I will be using this for a long time.

Simple connection very reliable
Nice right out of the box connected to my Garmin no problem! But when you do connect it to your Garmin, you might want to turn the Bluetooth up on your phone. I am very happy with this product.

Happy with it except the strap is tighter than I would have expected.
Paired easily with my Garmin 735XT watch which is quite old and my Garmin Edge 530. I used to have the 735XT paired as a HR sensor on the Edge and then broadcast the HR top the Edge. This works much better and if I’m going for a run, the watch finds it quickly, if I go for a ride, the Edge finds it just as fast. The strap is quite tight, but not terribly uncomfortable.

Pairing Problems with Garmin Device
Got this monitor as a Father’s Day gift and had problems right out of the box pairing to my Garmin 945 smartwatch. Finally got it paired and it was working but after one day, turning the HRM on again to use it for a bike ride, it would not connect to the Garmin 945 again. Tried every step out of the manuals for the HRM 200 and the Garmin 945, internet searches, garmin support site, youtube, etc… still would not connect. Very disappointed that Garmin sells products like this without ensuring they have bulletproof compatibility, especially to other Garmin equipment. Please consider this before you purchase.
