Wonderful, relaxing workouts that really work!
I originally borrowed this dvd from the library, and after one try I was hooked! All of the four different workouts are relaxing and effective, but the first one for shoulders and neck are worth every penny and more. I have always held tension and stress in my shoulder blade area and in middle age have had some mild shoulder pain as well, but this workout brings instant relief. It is not too difficult and Jessica gives modifications and advice to do what’s good for your body. She is one of my favorite fitness coaches, as she knows her stuff and can challenge you without being loud, too talkative or bossy. She has a gentle voice and spirit that is very calming.I highly recommend this set of workouts and am using it weekly in conjunction with my exercise routine.

Love this video, great for someone with arthritis
Try to do this twice a week. Video is divided into four twenty minutes sessions. Doing the first three sessions for a complete one hour workout covers most if not all the major joints. Being a 76 year old male with Rheumatoid Arthritis keeping my joints flexible is important and people, including myself, are amazed with the amount of flexibility Yoga provides. This video is easy on the joints and very relaxing. One thing I really like is that she teaches the class rather than just performing the exercises accompanied by a voice over as do all other Yoga videos I have. It is more like going to a real class. The exercises are performed next to a pool and the sound of the water running into the pool during the lessons is very soothing.

So easy to do
Been trying a lot of yoga workouts that say for beginners or seniors that have been more difficult that expected. This Gentle Yoga workout has been wonderful. I bought it over a year ago but am just now trying it during my weight loss and exercise journey. The flows are as promised – gentle – and easy for this overweight 60 year old to do. The instructor is easy to follow and offers added difficulty as you progress in the flows. Four 20-minute sessions are perfect for getting back into the routine of working out and stretching a couple of times a week. Planning on keeping this in my workout rotation.

Pricey and slow paced
It is good for an elderly person and it is simple enough maybe too simple, for me. But then again I’m an active early 60 yr old who wants beginning yoga. Back to YouTube for videos to motivate me.

Good Instructor, Nice Yoga Routine
Really recommend this dvd for any age, whether a beginner or older and want to keep in shape or start an excercise routine. I bought this to get back into working out again, staying in shape and to help my body as I age. Highly recommend and my friends are already purchasing and liking as well. I now have 3 of Jessica Smiths excercise routines.

It’s perfect!!!
UPDATE: 1 year later this is still a favorite dvd. I reach for it often. I may not use the chair anymore but the video offers that option. Still LOVE this as a great flow, good pace, great cues, awesome stretch.Original review: I have been doing yoga for 3 weeks . I have struggled to find a practice that would walk me thoroughly and gently (I’m pretty inflexible!) through a complete practice. This is it! I did all 4 20 minute sessions one after the other. They flow beautifully and the DVD gives the option to do all at once as well as any one individually. I like the all at once option so I don’t have to stop, put on my glasses and fiddle with it. It is a really good practice that left me stretched and tired. I cannot thank you enough. I will wear this out in my quest to complete it with the hardest modifications (currently on the easy ones!) so I can move on to some more challenging yoga. The breath is also queued very well! I see this in my life for a year or more. Yay!!!!!

Jessica Produces Another Winner!
I recently purchased all four of Jessica’s new DVDs–all winners–and I wanted to add some additional points that I neglected to place in my other review. There are several other features of all her new walking programs that set her apart as well: first, she explains technique perfectly! As I mentioned in my other review, I have many other exercise DVDs from top names in the field, and often I don’t think the instructions are adequate; hence, injuries are more likely. You’re in great hands with Jessica because she demonstrates an understanding of physiology by her clear, detailed instructions, and I feel safe with her. Second, I love the clock feature she has on all her recent DVDs. It helps you gauge your endurance as well as encourage you to make that final push when you see the time is almost over! Last, I think the price point of Jessica’s DVDs are very reasonable. For $14.95 you get three 30-minute workouts. I normally pay $19.95 for two 30-minute workouts from other leading names.I can’t say enough positive things about this wonderful woman who truly is revolutionizing exercise programs offered to the general public. I think if you give her a try, you will be a continuing customer.
