Gets the job done
I have an 8 month old Tibetan Terrier. He needs a lot of exercise but the dog park is 20 minutes away and I can’t get him over there every day. We also live in a condo complex with no fenced in yard. I was looking for a way to let him run “loose” without running away and this was the perfect solution. He can run around on days when we can’t get him to the park and our other dog (8 years) isn’t up for a major playing session to get out some of that puppy energy. The clip and lead are both high quality, I am not afraid anything will break when he is running full tilt and doesn’t realize the leash is about to end. It is also great for “stay” and “come” (recall) training.

30 FT Leash – Love for Recall Training!
I love this leash. It is lightweight and durable. I use it for recall training with my 1 Y/O Rescue. I probably would have bought the 50 FT if I would do it over again. I figured that a 30 FT would be too long for my dog, but after learning how short 30 FT actually is when you are playing fetch, it would be smart to get 50FT length. She’s around 40 lbs for reference. You can hook the leashes together if you want, the end of the leash does not have a handle, rather a ring, so you can attach another leash if you want to the end of it. It’s super lightweight and I love using it to go to the park and trail behind my dog for a sense of security while she is young and doesn’t always come back to me right away. Another good feature is that it has an adjustable feature so you can shorten the leash if you want. The snap is small, but it really seems pretty durable. I’ve had it for a few months now and use it daily. Sometimes I hook her actual leash to it and hook the whole thing to my waist to play fetch. She loves her sense of freedom and I love knowing I can catch her easily!

Good training leash – beware leash burns
This leash is sturdy, light, and easy to hold. The handle is a good size for hands of all sizes. The unfenced dog park across from my apartment building requires dogs be leashed at all times, so this allows my boxer to run around with the other dogs and play but allows me to maintain control. He’s strong, but the leash has held up beautifully. The clip is good quality.The leash does get tangled easily, but it has been easy to remove the knots and the leash smooths back out quickly. One issue we ran into was my dog did not understand he was still on a leash the first few times we used it, so he would run too far. The leash tends to get underneath him when he runs, and he ended up giving himself a pretty bad leash burn on the inside of his thigh. My dog also wrapped this leash around my husband’s leg and ran off one time, giving my husband a similarly bad leash burn. This is by no means a problem with just this type of leash, but something to be aware of nonetheless to avoid any harm.This leash has been a great stepping stone for working towards off-leash obedience. We put our dog on this lead and let it drag behind us as we work on heel and such. If he starts to misbehave or not listen, we can just step on the lead and stop him. We did not put knots in our leash as other reviews have noted doing, as we’ve never had an issue with the leash sliding under our feet when stepped on. It’s a great training tool. I would purchase this leash again, especially at such a great price. We are actually contemplating going up to the 50ft length next and would purchase the same brand.

Good leash, great price
I needed a long lead for our puppy and this one fit the bill. It has a strong buckle and is pretty substantial. The only negative is the fact that it tangles like nobody’s business. I mean completely tangled multiple huge knots, completely clumped areas… I find myself untangling it more often than I thought I would, but I do not think that that is a design flaw or product issue. It is probably more the fact that our puppy is active… I may have gone with a 20 ft instead, that might have cut down on the knots.

No Fence? No Problem.
Here lies the answer for any dog lovers who don’t quite have the fenced in yard of every dogs dream. I have a 6 month old Weimaraner/Lab mix named Molly and live in a rural apartment with tons of yard and field, but no fences. Molly NEEDS her walks and romps on a daily basis or I’m in for a trouble maker! The Guardian Gear Training lead provides the ability to let your dog do dog things without worry that you’re recall wont be effective this time. You’ll be twice as glad you went with a long training lead because it also provides a great tool for recall training.But much more than that, I use the 30 foot lead during walks on the bike path. Molly likes to wander, pause and smell the flowers, you know… dog things…With this lead you can allow your pup to do just that, and the added bonus is that the dog usually ends up walking twice the distance you did in the process! A tired pup is a well behaved pup, right?It is thinner than I anticipated, but shows no signs of wear down in the month that I’ve used it- what with dragging on the ground and Molly taking a bite at it every now and then.The claw clasp is substantial and well constructed. The loop end is very well attached. Overall I’m impressed with this product and recommend it if you’re looking to give your dog a little freedom without worry.

Terrible Product; Breaks Very Easily
This lead broke after one day! Thank goodness we were just coming in. Something has changed with the construction of this lead and it really is dangerous. Your dog could get loose.

The leash is great for training my cane corso puppy: nice and long for her to run!The thing is, the clip has a hard time opening, now that its been in salt water (teaching her how to swim).If i had to get another long leash i would get one with a rubber handle. Sometimes she has so much room to run she forgets she is on a leash, and charges full speed= rope Burn.

Muy buen producto, es bastante largo, por lo que si estás entrenando a tu perro para que haga caso en cuanto tú le hables es muy bueno, así lo dejas un poco libre, pero siempre tienes el control de tu mascota. No ha tenido problemas de que se safe o rompa, pero igual mi perro no jala mucho
