A great way to get a good workout in, our belt keeps you floating and stabilized while curling or pressing our water weights. Our Runner Flotation Belt gives lumbar support and vertical balance during water aerobics or running. Specially contoured to fit below ribs and above hips with a fully adjustable nylon belt that holds securely and comfortably at the waist. Maximum Waist Size: X-SM (48″), SM (50″), MED (50″), LG (56″). Sizes: X-SM (under 100 lbs.), SM (100-160 lbs.), MED (160-220 lbs.), LG (220 + lbs.).

“I know you’re not supposed to use it for swimming. The booklet says water training, but I took this baby in the ocean. I am a terrible swimmer and recently went on a Caribbean vacation with my husband who loves to swim. The belt looks a little ridiculous out of the water. Picture adult floaties. But once you’re in oh boy. I was no longer afraid of not feeling land under my feet. I kicked myself up and I was swimming! We even went snorkeling for hours. When I got tired I just floated there and stared into the water (with my snorkel gear of course). I was no longer limited to the boring fish in the shallow end. Great for training and learning to swim
I never learned to swim as a kid but recently took up swimming lessons. My problem was that it was difficult to improve my form and control breathing while actually swimming. I tried a similar flotation belt that my swim instructor loaned me(seemingly in desperation), and what a world of difference it made. I bought this one and have used it at my gym’s pool. It’s great because 1) it’s easy to put on; 2) easy to adjust tightness; 3) comfortable; 4) provides just enough flotation to assist me but not be too much of a crutch. I’ve improved my form and can get a long workout at the gym when I want to. At this point, I CAN swim the length of the pool. But I still use it because I can swim 30-40 minutes with it on. Without it, my technique isn’t good enough and I tire myself out quickly.A good value for the price, my only minor complaint is that the belt doesn’t have a clear way to hold excess strap after you tighten it. I tuck it into itself and that works well enough, so this is a very minor issue.

Great for practice treading water
Water Gear Water Runner Flotation Belt-Several sizes available-Soft EVA foam-Replaceable strap-Used by professional athletes and trainers around the worldI ordered this product for my wife for her to learn how to tread water and also help with her swimming daily. She also use it for snorkeling as well. I ordered size SMALL and its seems to hold her up pretty well. I also tested on me as well. FYI : My weight is about 175 lbs and my wife is 100 lbs. The strap seems to be very long so she has to wrap it around a few times. She could probably go for a size Extra Small too.Even though, this product suppose to help you float comfortably but I still think you have to know basic of swimming as well. This is not a life saver for anybody that has no idea on how to survive in the water.Overall, its a great gear to help you practice floating or swimming.

Improper fit
While this item is very sturdy it had a terrible fit to it. Doesn’t snuggle around your waist. It looks more like butterfly wings.

Perfect for an injured runner
My son is an avid runner and was recently injured. Since he can’t put weight on his foot for 6 weeks, we looked into getting some kind of aqua running belt to keep up his running form and aerobic capacity. We tried a Speedo belt, but no matter how tight we squeezed the thing, it kept riding up under his armpits.We bought the Water Gear Runner Belt and it’s just fantastic. My son is 5’5″ and 110 pounds, so we got the small which is good for 100-160. If fits him perfectly! No issues with it moving around or riding up.If you’re looking for a quality product for aqua running, or water aerobics, then this is exactly what you’re looking for!

Great for Lap Swimming
When lap swimming, I find myself exerting too much energy staying afloat. This belt works perfectly for me. With it I can swim far more laps than without it. After a few weeks of wear, the color fades a bit but the belt still fits very well.

Awkward Design
Returned because the “wings” fit very awkwardly under the arm. I thought they would be more towards the front, but even sizing the belt correctly based on the size chart, they hit right under my arms and impeded my movement. Returned for the water runner slim belt design.
