Great scale, app works well
This scale was easy to setup, loaded app onto my phone to track. Soooooo simple to connect through WiFi. I’m able to track body fat, bone density & more. The scale is really beautiful with a sleek, modern design. Very sturdy & well-made! App is easy to use, you get good info through the app. They do have a monthly subscription available for some upgraded features. I’m please with things available in the app for free. Recommend 10/10

Does what I want it to do
Let me start with the bad – the really bad for some. The body fat percentage reading is terrible. That said, I have found this to be true of any scale I have used. From what I understand the more muscular you are the less accurate the reading if using electrical impedance (if that is the correct term). I am 6′ and 220lbs with a 34″ waist. I workout 6 days a week with about 3 hours of HIIT training and around 10 hours of lower heart rate endurance work. I am fairly fit.. The scale says I am at almost 30% body fat while calipers have me at around 15%. I sink like a rock with a full breath in the water – treading water sucks. In truth, I don’t really care that much and the reading can be blanked so you don’t have to see body fat%. I am interested in more medically appropriate measures like blood pressure and blood tests. I would also add that body fat readings fluctuate wildly. In two days, I had readings 4% apart. Pretty sure I did not lose 9lbs of fat in a day. I blanked out the reading and use waist measurements and the like instead – the same as any other scale I have ever used.The good:Set up was a breeze. I doubt it took 5 minutes to set up everything including linking to apple health and other apps I use.It is accurate, or at least consistent. I don’t really care if I am 220 or 225 as long as the readings are consistent from day to day. I am interested in the trend. That said the weight is consistent with other scales. Our last scale fluctuated almost 5 lbs on my wife in just a few minutes. That did not go over well.I have read about problems with the app but I don’t use it. It simply passes data on to other apps I use. So far it has worked great. I use apple health as a portal to other apps. The Withings app had no problem connecting. I weigh myself in the morning and the information is instantly passed on to the appropriate apps that keep track of working out, steps, heart rate and so forth. Only need weight from the scale.Price may be an issue for some. For what I use this scale for I am sure I could have found something cheaper that works fine. I just did not want to do all the research and this scale was recommended by people I trust.Any issues I have with this scale are not exclusive to it. Measures such as BMI are just plain ridiculous. Every powerlifter out there is extremely obese according to the BMI index. Health is pretty individual and these kinds of readings seem to feed into paranoia as much as provide useful information. Other than weight I am not convinced scales like this provide as much useful information as the companies would like us to believe.

I like the product, does what it is meant to, seems to be accurate. I like how it takes multiple measurements, provides a good way of keeping track of progress via app. Setup was straight forward and I like how it has decent integration with other apps like MyFitnessPal for a holistic approach to personal health management. As a person with vision loss, there is no audio feedback from the device itself to know how long to stand on the scale for all measurements, but I wasn’t expecting this either (still would be cool to have option for at least a nice beep at start and end). I have enough vision to know that I can step off when the light on the screen goes out, but people without this level of vision might need to use a timer, and also might need to get help to consistently step on right position for accurate read and put tactile mark for independent use, which is easy enough as long as it doesn’t interfere with sensors. App is accessible enough with voiceover to make good use of, however at least one icon (I think it is meant to be for alerts/notifications) isn’t labeled. I hope the app continues to at least have a functional level of accessibility, but right now it is definitely usable for screen reader users. I like how I can use voiceover to read my weight to me on my terms.

There are thousands of BMI body fat scales here on Amazon, so choosing one can be overwhelming, and this one is more expensive than others. But I checked out the Withings company and they appear to be the first company that created scales like this which measure BMI, body fat, body water, bone mass etc so I felt more confident that their technology and software would be better and more accurate, and that they would invest in continually improving and developing their tech.I’m sure the accuracy of measurements on any of these scales is not as precise as equipment that would be used in a clinical setting, but overall the measurements are about what I expected so it does seem pretty accurate. And even assuming a margin of error, the consistency of the measurements over time is reliable and a good indicator of the changes within your body if you’re trying to lose weight, lower your body fat, or gain muscle, etc.Overall this scale has the look and feel of a quality product, from the packaging to the design and build, as well as the size of the scale (larger than some others I was looking at).The iPhone app installed fine, had a few issues at first connecting my phone to the scale but restarted my phone after installing the app and that seemed to solve the problem. Easily set up multiple users. But note the scale doesn’t work on a 5G wifi network, works fine on 2.4G wifi.The iPhone app is well designed, a clean simple layout that is visually appealing and easy to navigate. It presents the data well and syncs with Apple’s Health app seamlessly.I had never heard of Withings before, but I would buy a product from them again.

J’avoue qu’au départ j’étais perplexe car j’ai tellement utilisé de balance connectée qui m’ont déçu je ne savais pas si je devais basculer sur celle-ci.Mais là j’étais agréablement surpris par sa précision sa facilité d’utilisation son accès facilité à l’application Apple santé qui me permet de me soigner.Cette balance je vous la conseille fortement.

I purchased these to go alongside my ScanWatch and they work seamlessly together which makes the whole package perfect for my needs. The unit itself appears to be well manufactured and is certainly featured packed even if some of the features are not required on a set of scales !! In use these scales have proven to be very accurate when used correctly on a solid floor and not on carpet. I can happily say this as due to health issues I am currently being monitored closely by my local hospital and the results from their equipment and these scales are near on identical given the different times etc that the readings are taken . One other point that absolutely amazed me was that upon the first use and after syncing with the app the app advised me to have my bone density checked as it appeared that the reading given was low. This also confirmed to me that I made the right choice in buying these as a couple of years ago now I was diagnosed with osteoporosis for which I am long term medication to address this. This was something that I certainly did not expect from a set of scales.There was nothing difficult in setting up of the scales , in fact it was quite easy as the app does all the hard work for you. Updates were done automatically through the app which was certainly no different than updating any other item over the internet.All in all I for one am delighted with these scales, they have proved to be a good investment and well worth that little extra than the normal bathroom scales especially if you have health issues which you are attempting to address. I for one would not hesitate to recommend these as they are simply a amazing piece of kit.
