On the Firm Side
This isn’t the firmest foam roller I’ve ever felt, but it is on the firm side in my opinion. I do have a half circle foam roller that is even firmer than this one and I have to say, I find this one to be more comfortable to lay on when doing my exercises on days when my back is especially tender. It’s a good length for someone to lay on. And it offers decent back support when you do.The surface seems to be made of a material that I wonder about. I’m not sure how durable it will be long-term. There’s already a small dent in it just from having it shipped to me. It doesn’t affect the functionality of the roller, but it is there and I do wonder if more dents might appear over time and use.Overall, I’m very satisfied with it. The weight of it is good and I thought it was a decent price. I’m hoping that as long as I don’t throw it around it gently it will last me a long time.

A little softer than the standard hard foam roller.
We purchased this roller to replace a hard foam roller that felt as hard as a piece of wood. The Yes4All roller is softer, but that softness is only a couple of millimeters. What that does is provides you a softer feeling roller without losing the necessary stiffness to work on those muscles (and the spine!). Plus, it’s a fun color, so that’s a bonus. We bought the 36 inch version because we are not tiny, skinny little twig people. Quality is good, no voids in the foam and it’s not brittle in any way. Doesn’t leave marks on the hardwood floors after rolling out, it’s very light weight. If you are looking for an “almost firm” roller, go with this one.

Great for back release
I bought this at the recommendation of a yoga instructor whom mentioned it after noticing I tend to keep tension in my mid to upper back. After a couple good rolls with a foam roller at the studio, I decided I needed one at home. This provides such a good release for the areas I hold tension. I will say this is best on hard surfaces but it could just be my carpet/pad provides too much give to allow it to work.

Smooth lightweight round roller
I researched before buying in an attempt to get what I thought I wanted – which is a smooth roller made of EVA material, 6’ diameter. This fits that description. This one is 18” long. It’s a good length because I don’t really need anything longer than that for my back or other body parts – and I can travel with it as it is short & very lightweight. It came with some dents in it, which just tells me that the quality isn’t great. However, I paid $18, which is a good value compared to the more expensive ones made out of this EVA material that I wanted. I expected this to be a softer outer material, but isn’t exactly what I expected. Pictures are difficult to tell what something will actually be. I don’t actually know what it is supposed to look like, which is the risk you take when shopping online and not seeing it at a store. This has a little more give than those made of EPP which is extra firm. The EVA is medium firm. The PE is softer, but more like the material that pool noodles are made of – so I chose not to get that kind because I’m sure those won’t last very long. I don’t like the pink, but the better colors were more expensive… (Why?!) I’m going for function & the best price.
